Welcome to Cronulla. A beautiful beachside suburb of Sydney.

Here begins my walk on The Esplanade. This is
a memorial to Bass & Flinders. A walking path
winds around the foreshore.

On most days the pedestrian traffic is heavy with joggers, walkers, and those that just want to stroll and enjoy the view; luxury homes on the left and water on the right. Wouldn't it be nice to drift off to sleep at night with the sound of the sea lapping gently against the rocks?
I stayed an extra week in caring for mum and dad. Dearest father was discharged from hospital on the day after I arrived. He was a patient for 7 weeks. Dearest mother had 'done her knee in' and was only just hobbling about. Xrays showed nothing serious, just a rusty old knee, and physio has improved her mobility. Back to Dad who is still being treated for dysphagia, an inability to swallow. Long story short, he is managing to eat pureed foods now which is a great relief. We have all been very worried for him - if he had sought treatment waaaay back before Easter, as early as January say, instead of farting about at home hoping it would right itself, treatment would have been a lot quicker. He is mending slowly.

My blog is never a blog unless there is a picture of Toby.
Here he is all neat and tidy after a bath and a trim. This is his pleading look .....'just a little bit of liver, pls Mum'. (Mum indulges him, who can resist the look?)
More soon.
